The performer gives a spectator an ordinary looking Nut and Bolt to examine. The spectator is asked to screw the Nut onto the Bolt, then pass it back to the magician and hold out their hand.
The magician asks the spectator to watch as he holds the threaded Nut & Bolt above their open palm. With a simple gesture the Nut starts to spin, unthreading itself along the Bolt and falling off into the spectator's palm right before their eyes!
Everything can now be examined once again!
This trick can be performed in front of your audience as above, or can be done into a cup raised over somebody's head or with the Bolt and Nut placed into a silk hanky!
